CHAP 1 / Prière au Grand Esprit (Prayer to the Great Spirit) is the first collection from Trans’pact.
It includes just several names that recorded on the label. The material on the album partially consists of singles released on vinyl, most of them are exceedingly rare. The album is a time tunnel to the early days of Goa trance.
Gilbert Thévenet aka Martin Cooper (RIP), the dominant person behind the label, had a clear musical vision and defined direction of the content selected. Every title on the label is a classic retro piece.
Trans’pact played a key role and had influenced the French psytrance movement and community significantly.
CHAP 1 is another example to the innovation and originality of the label that became a reference and source of inspiration for other artists that emerged. The spirit that the label has brought, is a beating heart and a living flame that continues to shine bright, for three decades.
This rare album was fully digitally remastered, after over two decades that it was totally unavailable.
We salute Martin Cooper, and are proud to release this album digitally for the first time ever.
