‘Primal Meltdown’ is the 2nd album from The Nommos, following their debut and original ‘Digitaria’.
Ariane Macavoy (AKA Nimba) and Goa Gil deliver here 9 tracks designated for this album this only. The album is a sonic journey through tribal psychedelic trance, inlaid with layers of cutting-edge sounds. The album includes authentic original live recordings and rare samples from the Dogon tribe of Mali. In addition, vocals of 8 Finger Eddie that add an extra dimension to the album.

‘Primal Meltdown’ is the result of the outstanding collaboration between Ariane Macavoy and Goa Gil, each with his musical direction and rich background, Ariane, a master in percussion, with a rich knowledge of West African music and dance. Goa Gil with his accumulation of years of psychedelic cutting-edge sets and musical experience, being one of the most experienced psychedelic trance DJs today and probably the most senior one too. Beside other projects, the two are former members of the band Kode IV.
The Nommos have been operating for a third decade and are a brand name and a trademark of quality. They are the leaders in their field and their musical ideas and sound have become a source of reference. The Nommos are related with quality, on their behalf is a devoted fan base. Every release from them is timeless for many.
The album was recorded in San Francisco and Goa.
